🧂 Ingredients

For the Pork Chops:

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp paprika

For the Mushroom Cream Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 ½ cups sliced mushrooms (white or cremini)

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • ¼ cup chicken broth

  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • ½ tsp dried thyme (or 1 tsp fresh)

  • Salt and pepper to taste


👨‍🍳 Instructions

Step 1: Season and Sear the Pork

Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear pork chops for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp: 145°F / 63°C).
Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.


Step 2: Make the Mushroom Cream Sauce

In the same skillet, melt butter.
Add mushrooms and sauté for 4–5 minutes until golden.
Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
Stir in heavy cream, parmesan, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Simmer for 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens.


Step 3: Combine & Serve

Return pork chops to the skillet and spoon the mushroom sauce over the top.
Simmer for another minute to combine flavors.
Serve hot, garnished with extra thyme or parmesan if desired.
